How to write a cause and correction story that gets paid
A paid story has three parts, and each part has to come from the repair order.
Complaint. What the customer said, in the words already written on the repair order. Do not upgrade a noise into a diagnosis.
Cause. What the technician found, including the test that found it. If the test result is not written down, do not add a number. Ask for the printout.
Correction. The work that was done: the part that was replaced and the check that showed the fault was gone. Use the part number and labor operation that are already on the repair order.
A reviewer should be able to point at a page for every sentence. That is the standard WarrFix uses. If a sentence cannot be tied to a document, it does not go in the rebuilt claim.
